Class of 1956 55th Reunion Postponed!

Hello classmates….as you know the 2011 Reunion has been postponed till 2012 due to the flood, which is still raising havoc in the area.  This will make next year’s reunion 56 years after the class of ’56 graduated, so it has a ring to it, eh?

 The planning for next year’s reunion is not complete….the dates, agenda, lodging, etc has not been determines yet, so please stay tuned.  Check the website, your mail and emails for information yet to come.

 Some of our classmates had already made plane reservations that cannot be cancelled.  Well, maybe you can still have some fun and enjoy being with classmates doing it.  Jim Leonard has proposed a “mini-reunion” for this fall (2011)….possibly the same dates for the reunion we had planned to have.  He proposes to meet up in the Black Hills and tour the hills on a rented bus/driver with all the treats available for a fun tour of the Hills.  If enough are interested, he’ll put it together.   Please contact Jim directly to let them know if you would or would not attend a mini-reunion in the Hills this fall by Aug 15^th. March 13, 2011 Update

55th Reunion of the Pierre High School Class of 1956

 

Preliminary arrangements have been completed for the 55th reunion of our
Class of 56!  The middle room in the convention center at the AmericInn in FortPierre has been reserved for Friday and Saturday, Sept 16 & 17 2011. 
Sept .18th will be breakfast at the Perkins Restraunt nearby.

 

Fri. Sept.16:  5:30 pm  AmericInn Convention Center. Registration and Mixer (snacks will be furnished). A registration fee of $20 at this time. You will receive a class booklet at this time.(fee includes banquet and picture)
Sat. Sept.17:  6:00 pm  Class picture and Social hour.  Banquet at 7:00pm
Sun.  Sept. 18:9:00 am to ?  Perkins Restraunt. On your own breakfast and
                            Farewells.(A room to the left has been reserved for us)
A block of 25 rooms have been set aside for class members at a rate of $85 at the AmericInn. They will hold these till Aug. 15. Be sure and mention you are with the Pierre class of 56 if reserving a room there.
The class booklet will be prepared from the information you provide. It will include a tribute to those classmates who are no longer with us, names, addresses, email data, letter or comments from classmates. Any one unable to attend may order the class booklet and picture. Please indicate that.
